Daytime Hospitalist opportunities available at Saint Francis Hospital and Medical Center, a 617-bed University-affiliated teaching hospital in Hartford, Connecticut.  Candidates should possess strong skills in inpatient medicine, multi-disciplinary team leadership, optimization of LOS, resource management and preferably have an interest in championing the Hospitalist Section’s Quality Improvement initiatives.  The Academic Hospitalists will be part of a large and rapidly growing Hospitalist group at Saint Francis Hospital.

We are looking for Hospitalists to staff a Daytime Hospitalist position.  The position is part of an expanded Daytime Hospitalist structure. The hours are 7 am to 3 pm with a 1:4 monthly rotation to a 10 am to 6 pm schedule. The position entails a 1:4 weekend daytime on call.   This position has no nights!  The hospitalist service covers inpatients, ED admissions and medical consults.  24-hour inpatient coverage is provided by a co-existing 7on/7off structure and Nocturnists.

Our practice is looking for a Family Practice physician for our Urgent Care. We could use your help finding the right physician. The position is immediate. I would prefer a full time physician but will take a part time. Our urgent care is only 3 years old and is a state of the art facility. Our hours of operation are Monday through Friday 8-8, and Saturday and Sunday from 8-4. There is no call involved. We see all ages from 0-100. We have X-Ray on site, a full hospital lab so results are very quick and convenient for the patients. We are not on EMR yet but hope to transition to it in 2012. We operate with a Physician, Registered Nurse, Medical Assistant, X-Ray technician, phlebotomist, and secretary. We see approximately 35-50 patients per day.

We are also looking for an Internal Medicine physician to join our Primary care office. Our hours of operation are Monday and Thursday 8-6, Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday are 8-4:30. Saturday hours are 8-12:30, one Saturday per month. There is no hospital call. This is a full time position. We are seeking aproximately 45 patient contact hours. Again we do not have EMR but hopefully soon.
